Technology

At Springs Family Dental, we are proud to offer the newest in available dental technologies.

Technology plays a huge role in our ability to offer the best and most affordable dental care to our patients. These technologies allow our team to diagnose and treat you quicker, which means less time spent in our dental office and more time spent with your family!

Digital X-Rays

Dental x-rays are a quick and easy way to give us a world of information about what’s happening inside your mouth so that we can best diagnose and treat you. X-rays allow us to see cavities that are just beginning to form, cracks or deformations of your tooth, and many other dental ailments.

Digital x-rays have a number of additional benefits. For starters, they use considerably less radiation than standard x-rays – as much as 90% less! They are also viewed on a computer monitor, which gives us the ability to zoom in, enhance, and rotate the image for better viewing. Since no chemicals are used to develop digital x-rays, they are better for the environment as well.

We'd love to tell you more, so if you have any questions, just give us a call!

Intraoral Cameras

Our Colorado Springs dental office uses intraoral cameras. This allows us to get a better look at what’s going on, and they also make it easier to show you what is happening inside of your mouth when we find an issue.

Our intraoral camera is small and fits easily into your mouth, allowing both you and Dr. Terveen to see what is happening. With its magnifying abilities, we are also able to spot things that the human eye could not spot before, which means we can catch cavities, cracks, symptoms of gum disease, and other dental problems earlier on.

Intraoral cameras make it easier for both you and Dr. Terveen to make good decisions about your dental care.

Ultrasonic Scalers

Ultrasonic scalers are instruments used to quickly and effectively clean plaque and tarter from the teeth. They operate at about 30,000 cycles per second to flush away bacteria and debris. These ultrasonic devices allow the dental hygienist to rapidly clean your teeth, which means less time spent in the chair! They also improve treatment results compared to traditional hand instruments alone. You'll love how great your teeth feel afterwards!
