How to Transform Your Smile in Just 3 Steps

Woman Smiling With White Straight Teeth | Colorado Springs Dentist

You lead an active lifestyle, and you don’t have time to get slowed down by dental problems, so you make it a priority to brush and floss and visit your dentist every six months.

So, you may be a little disappointed if all your effort hasn’t resulted in a more attractive smile. But even with good oral health practices, your teeth take a lot of abuse and can start to look damaged or worn over time.

Whether time has taken its toll on the appearance of your teeth or you just want a more symmetrical smile, porcelain veneers in Colorado Springs might be the right choice for you.

Veneers – A Three-Step Process

The first step in your smile journey is a consultation with Dr. Mike Terveen at Springs Family Dental so he can hear your concerns and pinpoint how you would like us to help you achieve your goals. Based on this conversation, we’ll work together to develop a customized plan for treatment.

Whether you are getting just one or multiple veneers, the second step is the same. Dr. Terveen will create space for the veneer by removing a thin layer of tooth enamel. We then take impressions of your teeth that are used to create a model on which your customized veneers will be designed. This information is sent to a dental lab, and you will go home with temporary veneers.

About two weeks later, your new veneers will be finished and ready for placement. Your temporaries will be removed, and the permanent veneers will be adjusted for fit and bonded securely to the surface of your teeth.

That’s it! All you have left to do is go out and enjoy showing off your beautiful new smile. If you take proper care of your teeth, your veneers can last as long as ten years.
